Five Ways To Impress Her This Valentine's Day

So, like many of you, I am trying to come up with the most romantic idea for my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day. Over the years, I have done the traditional gift ideas, chocolate, a big warm fuzzy bear, and a dozen roses of two. Why have I done these things several times over the years? Well, it works, and it always is the best idea that we [men] can come up with. And sorry ladies, to guys what works will always be the default idea and plan of action.

However, this year for Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking of doing something different. Not because my girlfriend is sick and tired of roses and candy, but I am sick and tired of roses and candy. I have come up with a few ideas on what I would do, and so I thought I’d share with you all these great ways to completely blindside the woman you love, and make this Valentine’s Day even more memorable.

1. Name a Star after her. I know, when I heard of the idea at first I was a bit skeptic and a bit taken aback. However, it is something different, and most importantly it is a romantic gesture. What a possible idea is, name two stars that are relatively close to each other in sight after both you and her, that way you can make a sweet card telling her that no matter what, you two will be close in the heavens. Simple idea, and very different. I’ve researched out some places you can go to purchase a name for a star, though there are thousands of sites, http://www.starregistry.com/ seemed to be the best choice.

2. Have flowers and a card sent to her at school or work. Okay, I know what you are thinking, “I thought he said no flowers and candy.” And true, I did say that I am tired of it. However, sending it to her workplace or school, rather than giving it to her before or during a date, really pushes up her ego and affection for you. For you to send her flowers and candy at work, with a small not that could read “Hope your day is going great, I’m thinking about you. See you later,” she will not only melt and be impressed that you thought about her in that sense, but she will be really floored with the thought that you gave in doing what you did. Plus, her fellow employees or schoolmates will be very jealous, and she will strut around like she has the best boyfriend/husband in the world. It’s a win-win situation guys.

3. Take her out on a nice date. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on a meal or anything. But taking her out to a relatively nice restaurant and maybe some dancing will really impress and surprise her. Plus, where ever you go, tell her to take all the time in the world in prettying herself up. Women love to dress up for their men, and they love to show off. Remember to look good yourself, not better than her of course, and remember to gush about how wonderful/beautiful she looks. Not too much, or it will come off creepy, but enough to make her smile inside and out and feel good about herself.

4. Make a candle light dinner. Okay guys, how many times has she cooked a great meal for you? Well, why not surprise her with a great meal yourself? I know we are not five star chefs; however it’s the thought that counts. Whether you make special sandwiches or some gourmet meal, the idea that you took the time in preparing this meal that you both will share together on this night is all that matters.

5. Just be with her. 9 times out of 10, girls do not want anything for Valentine’s Day. This is a complete lie. I’m just going to throw that out there, if a girl say’s “I don’t want anything,” she really hopes you get her something. I know this, because of my accident misinterpretation with my girlfriend our first Valentine’s Day, she said she didn’t want anything, I didn’t get her anything, and well, that’s another story. The gist is to get her something, whether it’s huge or small. But, to really cap off a great Valentine’s Day, why not just spend time with her. Take her to where you two went on your first date. Or just watch a movie at home. Spending time together builds the relationship and helps you to get to know each other even better, whether you have been dating for two months, or married for ten years.

Well, there you have it. Five ways to impress her this Valentine’s Day. I’m rather curious, which one will you choose? Or do you have another great idea you would like to share?
